My name is Ahmed Al-Saqqa, and I write to you with a heavy heart, pleading for your support in helping my family escape the nightmare that has engulfed Gaza. We are a

family of eight, including two elderly relatives, a precious infant, and a playful toddler. Each passing day brings us closer to despair as the violence and destruction escalate around us.

In Gaza, the sounds of bombs have become the soundtrack to our existence, shattering any semblance of normalcy. Our home and store were destroyed in the chaos, leaving us with nothing but rubble and memories. Forced to seek shelter in a cramped room with forty others, we live in constant fear for our lives and the lives of our children.

Our youngest, a sweet infant, was born into this crowded room without any medical care. Because of food supply problems, there is no baby formula available in Gaza. With each passing day, the situation gets worse leaving us on the brink of starvation. The elderly members of our family, already frail and vulnerable, suffer without access to the medication they so desperately need.

Now, our only wish is to follow in their footsteps, to seek refuge and respite from the relentless violence that plagues our homeland. But the path to safety is fraught with obstacles. The cost of fleeing Gaza is
