Hi my name is Daniel, we are reaching out to raise money to clean up an encampment in Grover Beach, Ca.
Last year my family, friends and I reached out to Amy which is homeless to help us organize a homeless donation drive to do something selfless for Christmas. Well here we are today and we now have had three months of giving back. We have raised over 2,000 items including clothes, food, hygiene products, tents, and sleeping necessities, for the homeless. We have also raised $5,100 to help not just homeless but others in need as well, This money helped a woman get seventeen days in a motel that gave her some much-needed rest. This money has aided people to purchase food and go to a laundry mat and wash clothes especially after the rain we recently experienced.
Most importantly, something so special has come out of all of this, iWe are on the right track. Our hope is if one is able to make it out of homelessness others will follow! We are no more special then the next person and with more support I know we can help more people. We are leading our church’s Homeless Ministry, reaching the homeless for Jesus. First Baptist Nipomo is our Organization.
With the money we are fundraising we intend to clean up encampments. First will be the river bed in Grover Beach, which Amy will lead the homeless and volunteers to help assist along side with city to clean up. We understand many struggle with addiction and we plan to get them into assistance programs that address these issues. We will work personally to find the best option for everyone.
Our ultimate goal is to show the homeless assistance businesses that we can greatly improve the homeless problem growing on the Central Coast.
This “movement” is happening now. Showing them they are loved and cared for has given them life again.
