I am creating this GoFundMe for my mother, Nasreen Akhter, who has recently been diagnosed with lung cancer.
This diagnosis has brought immense emotional and financial strain on my family. My mother urgently requires chemotherapy, ongoing medical tests, specialist consultations, and additional treatments recommended by her doctors. Unfortunately, my family does not have the financial means to cover these life-saving medical expenses.
Despite the fear and uncertainty, my mum is determined to fight this battle. She is a loving mother who has sacrificed so much for me and my siblings, and now she needs our support more than ever. I hope the department, school community, and friends, can stand beside me and my family and help ease this overwhelming burden.
What the funds will be used for:
- Chemotherapy plus immunology sessions ($7,000 per session)
- Diagnostic scans and medical tests ($3000)
- Medications and supportive therapy ($700)
- Hospital visits and specialist consultations ($500 per session)
- Additional unforeseen treatment-related expenses
My goal is to raise $15,000, which will go directly toward covering her treatment. Every contribution—no matter the amount—will make a real difference and bring hope to my family facing one of the toughest moments of our lives.
