Medical Expenses for Kristen

My name is Rachel, and I'm Kristen's older sister. Kristen was diagnosed with endometriosis in October 2018. She has undergone eight surgeries with the hope of being able to rid herself of this disease. Unfortunately, after each surgery, her endometriosis returns and continues to spread. It is taking a significant toll on her body. After one of her surgeries, she was hospitalized for kidney failure. Even though she struggles daily with chronic pain, she is always finding ways to make others laugh and be a great friend to all those around her. She recently traveled to Washington to meet with a doctor specializing in endometriosis. For the first time in a long time, they finally see the hope of ending this vicious cycle of her endometriosis returning. Unfortunately, because she is the only specialist on the west coast, no insurance will cover the cost. She will need to spend two weeks in Washington while she recovers.
