Jacob Moren has been a fighter since the first day of his life. He was born with multiple congenital heart defects that lead to open heart surgery when he was 17 years old. Prior to that day, he had already been through multiple medical procedures.

     This last month he has had severe back pains causing major weight loss. After waiting 2 weeks for the cardiologist to get him in, Friday May 8th he was admitted, to find his aortic valve was completely torn. On top of this critical finding, additionally the doctors discovered an infection in his heart that has a deteriorating effect. Not only needing a valve replacement, he is now in need of an aorta replacement within the next 12-24 hours. CRMC put him in a life flight helicopter to send him to Stanford Hospital, while he continues to require round-the-clock care. Because of COVID-19 he is all alone in a hospital in *critical condition, while his family waits in a nearby hotel. He will have emergency surgery on May 13, 2020. 

    His family will be packing up his belongings from his home and moving it to a storage unit for his extended recovery period. This could last at the minimum of 6 months to possibly a year long.  Your donation will help offset the overwhelming costs of medical bills, storage, move out, and other miscellaneous costs that arise in such an uncertain time as this.
