Your favorite four-legged friend needs your help!
Kobe got his X-rays done yesterday, and we were told he needs surgery on both of his knees. It’s a common issue with smaller dogs, but to get both knees done, it’s going to cost us $4,750!
Medial patella luxation (MPL) is a common cause of orthopedic lameness in both small and large breed dogs. In the simplest terms, this condition is when the patella (or knee cap), slips in and out of its natural position. Normally the patella sits in a groove in the femur and does not move side to side.
Kobe’s groove is so shallow it’s almost nonexistent at this point. He needs the surgery ASAP, and considering we just bought our first home, we need HELP!
