Exactly two days before Thanksgiving, on November 24, 2020,  32 year old Dennis Cawthon had no idea he would experience a massive Hemorrhagic Stroke (also known as a cerebral hemorrhage) that would render the right side of his body both paralyzed and numb.  After several days in ICU and with God's grace, Dennis felt some movement in his right foot.

At 30 years old, Dennis had no idea he would be diagnosed with IgA.  A chronic kidney disease that will eventually lead to complete renal failure. Dennis is currently on the national kidney registry in need of a kidney transplant.

Currently, Dennis's medical team feels the best treatment plan for him is extensive rehab in Jacksonville, FL.  With the right physical therapy and with God's grace, his medical team feels he will be able to use the right side of his body. However, his medical expenses are quickly mounting. Not only is he unable to work at this time, the cost of rehabilitation and several days in ICU have led to much financial hardship for Dennis and his family.

Dennis is known far and wide for his kind heart and for working as a Licensed Practical Nurse for a behavioral health hospital. He is father to 4 year old Brent and husband to a local social worker within the community. Everyone that knows Dennis knows he is an extremely caring, giving individual whose career and life's work has always consisted of caring for others and always putting himself last.
