Support Milo’s Fight Against Leukemia

The Hambleton Family’s life turned upside down on January 4th when their 3 year old son woke up with abnormal bruising on several parts of his body and face. The next day, Milo was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. His wonderful team of medical professionals predict he will be hospitalized for a month to complete intensive chemotherapy comprised of 4 different chemo drugs over ten days followed by close monitoring of his blood counts, repeat bone marrow biopsies and spinal taps. His time admitted could be longer depending on how well his immune system recovers. He will go home for one week before returning for another month long admission for the same intensive chemotherapy. He will follow this pattern of month long admissions/one week breaks for 6-7 months but the medication plan is tbt after the first two months. Anyone who has had the pleasure of meeting Milo knows what a brilliant and vibrant boy he is. He instantly lights up the room with his smile and silly jokes. Mom, Dad and Milo have been so brave and so resilient during this difficult time. Milo couldn’t have better parents in his corner. They have both been at his side 24/7 sacrificing their own needs to give Milo the best care, comfort and as much normalcy as they can in this situation. Milo’s mom had to stop working and dad is working on getting as much time off as possible so they can continue to support Milo and also each other.

Please consider making a donation to allow them to continue to stay at Milo’s side without the worry of financials. If unable to donate please consider sharing the go fund me page. Any help would be so greatly appreciated.

When reaching out to the family for emotional support please be patient with their responses and know that they appreciate every word of encouragement and love. Their days and most nights have been overwhelmingly busy with Milo’s care.

If you would like to send cards or personal gifts please reach out to me, Melanie Vidal-Milo’s aunt. (Gift cards for door dash/grub hub and Starbucks would be very beneficial)
