Miss Philippines USA

Hello and Mabuhay, my name is Alyson Faith Podwoiski and I am a current candidate for the Miss Philippines USA 2021 pageant. I am thankful to be the first representative from Detroit, Michigan. The reason you have found this page is because I would absolutely be humbled and blessed to have your support and bring you along on my journey! So far my experience in this pagent has been life changing, the ladies aren't just my fellow candidates anymore, they are family, and I've created memories that will last a life time. I am super thankful for this opportunity to be able to join and share my passion and talents, no matter the outcome I am ready to use this as a stepping stone for more change in our community moving forward. I decided to participate in Miss Philippines USA because I believe I was put on this earth to use the talents I have been given to make a difference in the world.

Whether we would like to admit it or not the entertainment industry is at the forefront of our society and my hope is to continue to push for asian representation in the industry and all size inclusion for high fashion runway. I believe with the vigorous training I have put myself through over the years I will be able to change the name in the industry, making it an all inclusive and equally represented place to be.

I want to give a big thank you to the PACCM ( The Philippine American Cultural Center of Michigan) for giving me the opportunity to share my art from that I am so passionate about with our beloved filipino community through performances at various events over the years. Thank you for giving me the chance to see something in myself that I am now able to use to my full potential. I'm now Im able to continue my work in consistently learning more about our heritage, and finding more ways to give back share my blessings with the world.

Thank you to everyone who have supported me, and who will be supporting me with your kind donations. A big portion of the money I raise will go towards the Makapo foundation which is an inclusive outrigger paddling program for youth with special needs. The program’s goal is to provide the benefits of participation in outdoor team sports by creating a safe, welcoming, and energetic experience for them. Qualifying sponsorhips will get recognition in the souvenir program, $300 for a full page $150 for a half page. At this point in my Miss Philippines journey your contributions would be greatly appreciated. I am proud to be a filipina- American and Im blessed to share my story with you all in hopes to give back to my home, the beautiful islands of the Philippines.
