Hi. My name is Evan, and I am a 26 year old autistic man who still lives with his father. My dad has been a single parent to me since my mother died in 2003. I have witnessed my dad provide help to others throughout my entire life, especially those struggling with drug addiction and in need of treatment. I cannot count the times I have witnessed my father get up at 2 or 3:00AM and drive people in need of it to rehab or detox. My father was forced to retire, due to his health, eleven years ago (lung and heart disease), and as a result, my father's income is very limited. My father is also a US Army veteran who served honorably for 6 years (1975-1981). About a year ago, my dad's 2014 Honda Odyssey developed engine problems, and the cost of the repair would have been twice as much as the vehicle was worth. Ultimately, it went to the scrap pile. We are in desperate need of a reliable vehicle because my father has several monthly doctor's appointments and I have several upcoming appointments with doctors, as well as with social security. My goal is to raise $10,000.00 for my dad to use for a reliable vehicle. My dad would surely show his gratitude by using the vehicle to help others. Pops has always been there when anybody needed help, including myself. Now it's my turn to provide him with help in the only way that I know how, and this is it. Thank you in advance.
