Our daughter Taylor Marie Bishop's pathology report came back today from her surgery that was done last Tuesday. She had a total thyroidectomy and central lymph node dissection. She is positive for two types of Thyroid Cancer Follicular and Papillary Carcinoma. They removed 15 lymph nodes and 9 came back positive for cancer. The next step will be radiation iodine in the next following weeks where she has to be isolated for a week during her treatment. It will be a long road for TeamTaylorB. We will fight! We are doing a Benefit Dinner and silent auction September 29th 12-4pm at The Bellevue Firefighters Volunteer Hall In Bellevue. Anyone who can't make it or wants to donate can also donate here. All proceeds help Taylor with medical costs as she is only 19 years old and works as a CNA and MA at Richmont Senior Living in Bellevue. She has a passion for helping seniors and hopes to continue schooling to become a geriatric Nurse Practitioner. She has spent most of her working life helping others and has always gone the extra mile for her residents. She always says that she loves what she does and she would do it for free. Taylor has struggled most of her life with her mental health already, cancer has struck and our family and friends are sticking together to help her as much as we can.
