In May I will be running the Bristol 10k to raise money for Cancer Research UK, a charity that supports vital research into the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of cancer. This cause is especially close to my heart, as cancer has had a profound impact on my family.

I unfortunately lost my grandad to leukaemia a few years ago and my mum is currently suffering with cancer. Witnessing the strength it takes to live with this disease, as well as the impact it has on loved ones, has been incredibly difficult, and it has motivated me to do something positive in response.

By taking on the Bristol 10k, I hope to contribute towards the incredible work Cancer Research UK does every day, helping to improve outcomes and give hope to individuals and families affected by cancer.
