Help 9yr old Ethan Fight Cancer

We are posting this page today in hopes that we can help our dear friends the Persaud family as their young child Ethan continues his fight against cancer.
9 year old Ethan, son of our longtime and much beloved nanny Nesa, battled mightily as a toddler to recover from a rare cancer of the eye called retinoblastoma. Through chemotherapy, and with Ethan’s indomitable spirit, his medical team was at that time able to successfully treat his tumor, leaving him cancer-free while also saving his eye.
Until recently Ethan had been in full remission, however it’s with great sadness that we now learn his cancer has returned. Even more tragically, it has metastasized, with new tumors having been found in the right side of his head and hip.
Treatment so far has been aggressive. Ethan has undergone surgery to remove the afflicted eye, and is now enduring his first of five rounds of a powerful chemotherapy regime, which will be an extreme challenge for him to endure.
As formidable as this challenge may be however, we do take solace in knowing that Ethan can meet it. In addition to being smart, curious, gregarious and hilarious, Ethan is a fighter, and along with this grit and determination, his indomitable spirit will once again win the day!
The purpose of this fund is to assist the Persauds in meeting the financial challenges that come with such a battle. In addition to helping to cover the many out-of-pocket medical expenses they will no doubt have, we would dearly love for Ethan’s mother Nesa to be able to have an extended leave of absence from her work to be by her son’s side each step of the way in the coming months.
Nesa has been lovingly and tirelessly helping our family since the very start of our journey as parents, and for the past 8 years she has given her very best to us and our children. As our families have grown together, we have come to know and love her and her boys Ethan and Aryan as our own.
Any assistance you can give at this time would greatly and forever appreciated!
