Help Lucy's recovery journey!

Please help us as we work to raise money for our niece Lucy Edwards.
On Friday, March 1, Lucy and her sister Penny were driving from Chicago to Wisconsin for the funeral of their beloved grandmother, Pat Eichstaedt. During the trip, the pair were involved in a horrific car accident near Rockford, Ill., where their sedan was t-boned and flipped over the median.

Penny, who was the passenger, was lucky to walk away from the emergency room with just bumps, cuts, scrapes, and bruises. But Lucy, who was driving, was seriously injured. She suffered a fractured pelvis, a broken rib, and two fractured vertebra, as well as a minor head wound and many cuts, scrapes, and bruises. Lucy was brought into surgery the next day, where her awesome doctors placed four screws in her pelvis.
The good news is, Lucy is already recovering well!
However, she is in for a very long recovery, which will include daily PT, doctor visits, and home health care, among other medical needs. Her mother, Amy, will help take over her care when she is transitioned out of the hospital and into their home in Wisconsin.
Her family is now raising funds to help cover the costs of her long-term medical care. Luckily, Lucy is young and healthy. Still, her road to recovery will be long, and many of her health care needs and bills will not be covered by insurance.
Please help us - Lucy's aunts and uncle - raise money to help through these many upcoming months of recovery.
How You Can Help
Please donate what you can, and help spread the word to your friends and family though word of mouth and on social media. All donations will go directly to Lucy's care and recovery efforts. We will share updates on her progress!
Thank You!
