Please. Help my friend get a car

Hi, I'm Jenny, and I am here asking for help for my friend Tim. He's not that great at asking for help, but if we don't do something quick, it's going to be bad. His current car is literally falling apart. Literally. He won't be able to go to work, visit his son, go to the doctor, go to church, get to his various doctor's appointments and easily buy food. He's a senior citizen with very limited income. He's also facing the possibility of losing his housing - and if we have to relocate him further from his place of employment... well, he will need a car

 

He's scared. He went through a period twelve years ago where he was so poor he was living in his van. Now he's terrified of doing that again. He's 71 now - I know he would not survive.

 

We are asking for a certain amount of money - but if someone has a car that runs well and is not rusted-out and unsafe like his current vehicle- that would be more than fabulous too.
