Tanjo & Crow Project wants to record songs for you
Donation protected
Tanjo & Crow Project is a no-holds-barred exploration of roots music through eclectic songwriting, Appalachian arrangements, and seemingly fearless improvisation. The project draws upon the diverse musical backgrounds of Tanner Bingaman (guitar, banjo, vocals, composer), Allan Combs II (guitar, vocals, composer), Eric Avey (upright bass, vocals) and Brian Maag (saxophone).
In late Fall of 2022, Tanjo & Crow Project recorded a live session at The Elias Center for the Performing Arts in Mifflinburg, PA. Our goal was simple; capture the raw energy and emotion behind our songs in the vintage sound of this historic room. We chose the Elias Center because of the amazing acoustics. The room has a warm energy and is great for capturing intimate acoustic ensembles. Our final products from that hard day of work were four songs live-tracked with audio and video production.
Watch and listen to the first of those creations here:
Tanjo & Crow have written all of the original material for the band either separately in the past or as recent collaborations. Tanner and Allan's compositions and arrangements are humbly swapped back and forth, resulting in an engaging musical playground brought to life with a wildly unique sound.
As Tanjo & Crow Project, we want to record two studio-quality songs as soon as we have the available funding. The two songs will feature the full, four-piece band with banjo, guitar, upright bass, saxophone, and some oh-so-sweet three-part harmonies. The demos are wildly exciting, and we hope to raise the funding to properly record and release these two songs for the start of the Tanjo & Crow Project catalog.
We are excited about 2023 and have BIG plans for the year. Festivals have been booked, regional tours have been planned, and we want to start recording songs for y'all!
We are asking for your help in getting us started. We are humbly asking for fans to help us raise $1000 to get these songs out and into your ears professionally.
Cost breakdown
- Studio / Room Rental: $20/hr ($200 for a 10-hour day)
- Mix / Mastering: $500
- Distribution / Promotion: $300
When we raise the funding to record these songs, they will be released on all major streaming platforms for fans to enjoy.
For those with questions, or for private donors that would like to sponsor one of our recordings outright (with "made possible in part by...") credits, please contact Tanner or Allan via email.
Thank you for being part of the Tanjo & Crow Project journey.
We are excited to get to work on these recordings for y'all!
