Scruffy's vet bills

As many of you already know my dog, Scruffy, was biten by another dog over a month ago. After having his wounds cleaned, having surgical drains put in for over a week, and pumping him full of antibiotics and pain/anti-inflammatory meds it has come to the point where the only choice is to amputate his leg.  The rough estimate for this 3 hour operation is $1500-$1800 (and i am sure a ton of meds and follow up visits). I have put every cent i have into keeping him alive this long, to the point that there have been weeks were i wondered where i was going to find the money to pay for gas to get to work and back. Asking for help is not easy for me but if there is anything any of you can do to help, scruffy and I would be very appreciative. thank you.
