This is my sweet baby girl Sages last hope :(
A week ago, Sage stopped eating. I thought she was fine until I realized she wasn’t herself anymore. She wouldn’t come up to me and she would hide as if she just wanted to die. A few days ago I took her into the local clinic to then find out that she has a blood disorder called ... IMHA. IMHA is a type of anemia that occurs when the body's immune system attacks and destroys all the red blood cells in the blood.
Over the past few days she’s been hospitalized on drips and blood transfusions, but nothing is helping. She’s also been on a lot of high dose medication which has caused her to loose even more blood and to vomit unnecessarily and it is very sad to watch. I’ve had Sage for almost 12 years and I really don’t want to loose her. This is heart breaking. The medical treatments are so expensive and I’m just asking for anyone’s help. Even a few dollars out of your own pocket, anything to contribute that will help save her life! The doctors are doing anything and everything they can at this point. If I get the funding it will help her get the necessary treatments that she needs by staying in the hospital to survive and then eventually come home! I’m asking you, please. She’s the sweetest dog and deserves a chance.
