My best friend, who has asked to be kept anonymous, is currently experiencing a housing emergency and is faced with homelessness, through no fault of her own.

I am selling pamphlets of original poetry and writing for a donation. We aim to raise enough money for a deposit and first instalment of rent, so that my friend can move to a safe and stable home where she can have a fair chance of living independently after going through this ordeal.

My friend is a talented creative, a kind and generous peer, and is passionate about making music accessible for working-class children. She is estranged from her family, and experiences this housing crisis in part due to her estrangement.

We are pursuing all avenues to get my friend into stable housing, but your generosity would help very much. We are using GoFundMe for transparency, so that you don't have to take any leap of faith to be sure that we will do with your kind donations as we say we will.

Update December: My friend is on a waiting list for emergency accomodation. The donations have enabled her to buy food and afford travel between the homes of friends. We are immensely grateful for your generosity.
