I am Delainah Velichka and Dawn Cox is my sister.
Yesterday (Feb. 25, 2016) in the late moning hours, Dawn was at work when she recieved a call from her husband, the father of her three children; that their house was on fire. Luckily no one was at home when the fire started and the five dogs were outside.
It was a devistating loss for Dawn, Cliff and their three children, Matthew (17), Kayden (9) and Alexa (7) whom still reside at home. They have nothing left. All of their posessions, keepsakes and all of those everyday items we all take for granted are gone forever. They were left with the clothes on their backs. The house is completely burnt and it also took three older but running vehicles with it. All up in smoke.
The community has been great. Stopping by, calling and donating cash, clothing, toys etc. We are all VERY appreciative of this small and amazing community which often feels more like family.
I have been contacted by family and friends near and far who have said they would love to help the Cox family out financially so the wait for the insurance to kick in isn't such a financial burden in the mean time. That is what this gofundme account is for. Its for those of you who want to help replace some of the posessions, the clothing or even some of the games and the little things that'll bring comfort to the family and you're feeling so far away. It does not at all mean we don't appreciate all of the help we have gotten so far.
The family wants to give thanks for everything you have done and prayers are always welcome. Thank-you for your generosity. Every thought and action counts.
