Support Katie’s Road to Recovery

About a month ago, Katie was unexpectedly hospitalized due to a severe medical condition. It all began with excruciating mouth sores and throat pain, which made it impossible for her to eat or drink for four agonizing days. Fearing the worst, she decided to seek medical help and was admitted to the hospital.

The medical journey took an alarming turn as they discovered more underlying health issues. Katie's potassium levels were critically low, her electrolytes were out of balance, and her body wasn't producing enough blood, leaving her with dangerously low blood counts. In fact, her white blood cell count was so low that she barely had one white blood cell remaining. To stabilize her, she had to undergo a blood transfusion.

The hospitalization was a tough journey, marked by multiple IVs, medications, and an ongoing quest to understand the root cause of these health challenges. Unfortunately, Katie also lost her job during this time, adding an extra layer of stress and uncertainty to her life.

As Katie continues to fight this battle, we, her friends and loved ones, want to rally around her.
