Angels Battle

This gofundme is being set up for our beautiful Angel, who’s name very much matches her personality. Angel is a beautiful 13 year old girl, barely into her teenage years, who up until December 2021 was enjoying living her best life. Just like all her friends and siblings, angel was loving attending school, spending time with her friends, dancing, making tik tok videos and just being the happiest most kind, caring and helpful little girl you could ever meet.

In December 2021, Angel suffered from a sudden, unexplained seizure and became unconscious for 40 minutes. This led to Angel having urgent MRI and EEG’s. In the days following her MRI scan, angels mum received the news that a tumour had been found in Angel’s brain, and that due to its unknown nature, it would need to be removed and biopsied asap. In the meantime, Angel begun suffering headaches so extreme that she required hospital admission and to be taken out of school.

On Wednesday 2nd February, Angel was admitted to hospital, where on the 3rd February she had a 6 hour operation to remove her tumour, which was sent off to be biopsied. After spending some time in the hospital to recover from her surgery, we were allowed to bring Angel home, while we waited for her results. She recovered so well from her surgery which gave us so much hope that everything would be ok and she could go back to being her happy, carefree self who could return to school and begin to fully recover emotionally & physically.

On Friday 11th February, we returned to the hospital for the biopsy results, desperately hoping that it would be good news.

Unfortunately, the most devastating news was given. Angels’ tumour was a highly aggressive, rare form of cancer called a Diffuse Hemispheric Glioma (H3K27M) and that this cancer itself is one that was only learnt of within the last 2 years. There is such a little amount of knowledge on this cancer that they are unable to tell us if this is going to be curable. The current plan going forward is that they are going to blast it with everything they have got in the hope that we have a positive outcome.

For anybody who knows Angel, they will know that she is the most caring, generous beautiful little soul that you could meet. She spends most of her life looking out for everyone around her, she will always help when needed, she takes the time to make sure those who are hurting around her are ok, she truly is amazing. The bond that she has with her siblings, cousins, friends and family is unbreakable and everyone around her are completely broken, knowing that we are now in a fight for her life, and we have reached a point where we truly need as much extra help as we can get.

So, I am setting up this go fund me to try to raise money to help her family with costs for petrol, food, hospital stays and so much more. Angel is facing frequent journeys to and from hospital, which is based 60 miles away from her home. Her treatment is going to include chemotherapy and radiation, the radiation alone is going to involve travelling to this hospital 5 days a week for a minimum of 6 weeks. As well as this having money for food, toiletries, drinks and other basic supplies that will be required over this time. We have already spent the last 2 months travelling to and from different hospitals in different locations and honestly, we are financially running on empty, we have no idea how to even afford the travel expenses alone let alone anything else involved with this battle. Angel is likely to become very poorly in the coming months, and having the extra worry of finances while this treatment is so critical is just so soul destroying. We need to be able to focus our energy in supporting Angel through her upcoming battle, so we are reaching out and asking for as much help as we can get to help to see her through.

If anybody feels like they would be able to donate even just a £1, we would be truly grateful. Any money we can raise will be used solely to help Angel, to get to and from the hospital, to buy her food and supplies whilst travelling and receiving treatment.
