Running a Marathon for Pancreatic Cancer

Let’s run some miles and make a difference together!!

In 2021, I lost my Dad to pancreatic cancer. The biggest light and wittiest humour in any room, his life was cut far too short by this disease.

If the cancer is detected at an early stage when surgical removal of the tumor is possible, the 5-year survival rate is 42%! Early diagnosis is key for this type of cancer but symptoms can often be hard to detect. Please read the link below to find out more information on early diagnosis: https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/pancreatic-cancer/symptoms/

SO, in order to raise money for this great cause I’ve decided to run the Manchester Marathon on 16th April 2023. This will be my first ever marathon and I am slightly petrified about it all. However, what better way to take on this mammoth challenge than by raising awareness for a cause very close to my heart.

Thank you so much for every single donation, it means the world to me and is truly going to a good cause.
