House Fire Recovery
At 3:45 AM on March 8th, 2020 our family was woken up by smoke detectors and a plume of smoke filling our house. Thankfully both of us and all of our fur babies were able to make it out of the house without injury.
The Red Cross was able to give us the funds for 3 nights in a motel and a few dollars left over for food. The Loudoun County fire department was great to us.
Thankfully, we do have renters insurance. However, we don’t have the funds to put forward while waiting for reimbursement from the insurance company, and are needing to come up with the money to get us by in a motel for at least two weeks, as well as the high deductible for our renters insurance. All of our clothes have been ruined by either fire or smoke. And though it’s a small price to pay in the scheme of things, we don’t have anything to wear other than a few things right now as well.
Anything that can be given is more than appreciated, as is every share. Thank you all for your love and support. We will keep you updated on the situation.
Love and Thanks,
Sky, Jacqlynn, Thor, Apollo & Mittens.
