Hello, this fundraiser page is for a REALLY hard situation me and my family are going through right now still. I'll be putting all the context here in order.

Contents: Debts, money-management issues, problems with job finding, struggling to feed ourselves and our pets, struggling with getting a new car, moving houses.

As years passed, our situation greatly changed, and now our goal is to move house because we can't stay in this town anymore due to us being harassed by somebody who keeps ruining our garden, our car and potentially also keeps stalking us, so we need to move out of here. We don't just want to move out though, we want to make something good that gives our lives a purpose and a chance to survive and thrive. Because of our knowledge with animals, we have the possibility to help other people with their animals and pets, and give them a chance to heal/survive.

Two years ago, after losing my father to suicide, I created this fundraiser because our family was facing one of the darkest moments of our lives. Thanks to the kindness and compassion of many people, we were able to survive and continue moving forward.

I would like to share an update and talk about our hopes for the future.

For many years, my mother has devoted her life to helping animals, especially birds. Long before this fundraiser, she had already been rescuing and caring for chickens, roosters, and other animals in need. Providing shelter, treatment, and daily care for animals has never been just a hobby for her – it has always been part of who she is.

Over the last two years, my twin sister and I have done our best to support our mother and rebuild our lives after losing our father. Unfortunately, our challenges did not end. My mother's health has continued to worsen, and because of her disabilities and autism, traditional work has become increasingly difficult. My sister and I are autistic as well, and our family has had to adapt to many challenges.

Even so, we have not given up.

Our dream is to create a peaceful sanctuary for rescued birds and other animals – a safe place where abandoned or unwanted animals can find care and where people can reconnect with nature and experience the healing companionship that animals provide.

We hope to make the sanctuary accessible to visitors, offer educational experiences, and help bird owners who cannot afford expensive veterinary treatment. We would also like to grow medicinal herbs, share traditional knowledge, and create natural herbal teas from mountain plants.

This sanctuary would not only provide safety for animals, but also give our family the opportunity to continue working in a way that respects our disabilities and allows us to contribute something meaningful to others.

After everything we have endured since losing our father, we are trying to turn grief into compassion and create something beautiful from tragedy.

To everyone who supported us before: thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Your kindness helped our family survive. We are deeply grateful, and we hope that one day this sanctuary will become a place of hope and healing for both animals and people.

OLD DESCRIPTION (2 years ago):

Back in may 27th, my dad seemingly committed suicide unexpectedly out of nowhere. He was the only one in this family that provided us with money and even then, we were always filled with debts even when he was still alive and working, but now that he's gone, me, my brother and my mother have been struggling A LOT with surviving and managing our money that is slowly always draining and draining.

My mom is Russian and she has been living in Italy for more than 10 years but despite this she never got an Italian citizenship for some reason. This caused a lot of problems because a lot of job applications refuse her work resume even if it's translated in Italian, which is now our biggest issue money-wise because she's the only one left in this house. Dad's family won't be bothered to help us as rich as they are and as aware as they are of this situation. She got a job a while ago in some small farm but eventually she had an incident smashing her nose in half and damaging her neck, and had to retire (and they didn't even pay her well, so we're in the process of suing them aswell).

We had to refuse the inheritance because all there's left are debts, and we also lost our 2 cars with this aswell because they were assigned to dad, even if one of them (a black jeep) was mom's. So we had to get a new car (a jeep similar to the one mom had), but after 3 months this car ended up almost exploding because the motor accelerated at insane speeds out of nowhere and it ended up completely ruining the entire car and the mechanic who sold this car to us refuses to give the money back to us and nobody wants to sell it so we have to destroy it. We we're COMPLETELY unaware it was gonna end up like that considering nothing as odd as that happened before that day.

We are currently stuck without our own car (mechanic gave us a substitute car that we'll have to ALSO pay for later) while we are also waiting for a Toyota. This Toyota will cost around 5400 euro or more along paying for the substitute car we've been using (price uncertain as of now).

We do NOT have that much money on us right now and if anything, we are just spending and spending more while mom STILL doesn't have a job, while we are also dealing with very dangerous situations happening in our house like somebody who might be entering our garden without permission in the dark of the night (our house doesn't have any cameras nor alarms, and the gate got ruined so we had to put a noisy chain on it), so that's extra stuff we need to deal with that has been eating mom's time with searching for a job, because we are also obviously suing and reporting this.

On top of that, we live with alot of birds (and a dog) in this house. We have so many parrots, quails, pheasants, chickens and roosters, a turkey and an Australian emu. We love them to death, me and my brother are fond of the turkey (his name is Howard) because he grew attached to the 2 of us specifically like a dog, and my mom is obsessed with birds overall. However, with the money we have, it'll also get hard to feed and take care of them, especially because food and medication for them is very expensive sadly, and we won't get rid of them either. Half of those birds, if not all, were saved from lots of unfortunate situations including mistreatment, illnesses and just bought so that the original owners wouldn't eat them off, so they get a proper house and care. They are basically one of the only things that keeps us alive in such a hard situation right now. And on top of all of this, my mother barely gets her pension and me and my brother haven't even received it AT ALL. Me and my brother got our bank accounts back in December and nothing still came. There's still gonna be alot to unfold with the suing, car and money, so this isn't all, but it is currently what's going on, along where this all started.

I really hope that with this fundraiser, we can perhaps try to get our lives going, all while my mom hopefully manages to find a job once the legal complications are done.
