Cycling from Vancouver to Hamilton

Donation protected
Hello everyone!

My name is Daniel Horn, I am a Toys "R" Us Canada employee, bicycle enthusiast and mechanic.
This summer, I'll take a month off to fly out to Vancouver, British Columbia and then cycle from Vancouver to Toronto, Ontario to raise money for Autism Speaks Canada. At 20 years old, this will be one of my biggest accomplishments to date. I will be traveling with a friend, with no support vehicle, using campsites and having the experience of a lifetime.

What is Autism?

As defined by www.autismspeaks.ca, Autism or Autism Spectrum Disorder are both general terms for a group of complex disorders of brain development.

Why did I choose to support Autism Speaks Canada?

Autism Speaks Canada is one of the world's leading autism science and advocacy groups dedicated to funding research into the causes, prevention, treatments and a cure for autism. They raise awareness for disorders and advocate for individuals and their families.
We are learning more about Autism than ever before and thanks to the dedicated efforts of these organizations more and more children, teenagers and adults are being diagnosed and treated correctly.
I am determined to continue to support this cause so that people with autism are treated with compassion and receive the support required with individual treatment plans to address specific needs.

Through Toys “R” Us Canada, for the past 3 years I’ve been able to participate in the Autism Speaks Walk in downtown Toronto. Along with the Stoney Creek Toys “R” Us Team, this year I’m looking to make the biggest impact yet. I am trying to raise a dollar per kilometre of my journey, all donations will be going to the Autism Speaks Canada Walk in Waterloo on June 10th, 2016.

Any donations are hugely appreciated and anything, even just a dollar, brings me closer to a dollar per kilometre. Thank you for your support and for more information please visit www.autismspeaks.ca.

Autism Speaks and Autism Speaks Canada have committed over $200 million to leading research.
Autism Speaks Canada's fundraising efforts have supported over $7.4 million to Canadian science and research since 2010
