This September Matt Sachs broke the news to his family and friends that he was recently diagnosed with testicular cancer. As you may know, Matt is very skilled with words. In a recent Facebook post Matt stated:

"In mid-August, I was diagnosed with testicular cancer. Though I caught this pretty early on, it has spread to my lymph nodes. So on October 5th, I'll be starting 4 cycles of chemotherapy to crush this thing. The good news is that testicular cancer responds very well to chemotherapy and I'm much more aerodynamic with my one testicle. So anyway, that's that. Just wanted to put it out in the open so no one is freaked out if I post bald selfies while hooked up to an IV."

This week, Matt began his first round of chemotherapy. His friends and family will always support Matt by being there for him during this time. His beautiful girlfriend Amanda is always by his side. We want Matt and Amanda to be able to focus on their health and defeating cancer. They should not have to be concerned about money at this time. 

As per Matt and Amanda, they will use as little as possible for essentials such as food and car rides from tougher days of chemo as well as other medical expenses. They plan on donating the rest to a testicular cancer charity.

Matt says, "I'm very grateful for the support, but I know there's people who may need it more than us too."
