"Our little Miles has been diagnosed with not one, but 2 very rare diseases recently. We found out about 2 weeks ago, after several tests, that he has Retinoschisis. A genetic eye disease that causes progressive blindness during his life. He has vision now, but it is hard to tell how much... bc he has a retinal bleed in his left eye. Hoping that the blood re-absorbs on its own. If not, surgery will be required within the next month.
We then found out yesterday after the removal of a tumor on his left adrenal gland, that he has a cancer called neuro blastoma. Now, we are preparing for a long journey of chemotherapy over the next 4-12 months.
Hearing the doctors say the words: blindness, cancer, and chemotherapy... it seems so unfair for one little boy To face all of this. I can't understand. But I'm trusting in God's ultimate plan...
I ask for prayers for our sweet boy! I know many have been praying for him, and i am so thankful.... please keep praying with us! I have seen the power of prayer transform life..... I'm waiting to see it in the life of my handsome boy..."
