Send the Weeks to Serve at JAF Camp

UPDATE 7/27/2015: While our campaign is fully funded, we experienced a significant financial setback when the computer in our vehicle went out earlier this month. After 3½ weeks in the shop, we thankfully have it back and road worthy for our trip. If you feel moved to support us in this venture, we greatly appreciate your help with this additional (unexpected) expense. Your prayers are greatly appreciated as well! We leave in 19 days!!

We have exciting news!
UPDATE 06/16/2015: Thanks to your generous donations, we have raised our goal of $1500 up to $2500 in order for Charlie to be able to come with us. Without vacation time, this means covering both his wages and his STM fee. We're praying that this can truly be a family opportunity to serve together!

After serving at several local Joni and Friends events, the Weeks family has been given an opportunity to serve as a Short Term Missionaries at Joni and Friends’ Family Retreat for families affected by disability.
Joni and Friends Family Retreats serve families that are seeking relaxation, encouragement, and a time to strengthen their family. Short Term Missionaries (STMs) serve as the hands and feet of Jesus offering practical help and assistance to each family. At camp, we hope to help families experience all the excitement of being at camp…the recreation, the crafts, the games, and the outdoors. Together with other STMs we hope to set an example of having fun and being still enough to hear the voice of God.
We’d like to ask you to participate with us in this ministry as a sending partner. Financially, we need to raise a total $1,500 before July 27th to cover our camp costs and traveling over 300 miles to get there. Spiritually, we need dedicated prayer support through every phase of this retreat week – for our fund raising efforts before the retreat as well as safety and effective ministry during the retreat.
