Dear my beloved friends,

I would never have imagined a day when a stranger beat me seriously due to a hate crime at my workplace. It was on April 8 (Friday), and I was brought right away to the hospital on an ambulance. I got admitted to the ICU that night and had a craniotomy on the next morning due to fractured skull on the right side of my head. After two days of hospitalization, I was discharged to home. Three days after discharge, due to the dizziness, I fell down at home and ruptured my quadriceps tendon. Now I have trouble moving around even from bed to chair. From a healthy independent man I am now become dependent on my wife for activities of daily livings, even as simple as meal preparing, putting on socks, and getting a cup of water...

That guy beat me for no reason, and this had spinned my family around. From the head of the household, who used to bring food home for family now I am the weakest one and need to be taken care by my wife in every movement and every single needs. All of the burdens is now being put on my wife's shoulders and she herself isn't in a good health as she had two surgeries in 2018 and 2020 on her right foot.

The worst part is that the person who committed the crime did not pay us any reimbursement because he has no financial means. That leaves our family struggling with income loss. I may face the risk of being disabled for the rest of my life after these two severe injuries.
