Please help me in making the dream of having a non-profit to help special needs children and children who are "at risk" of developmental delays receive the help they need and deserve, rather than falling through the cracks and not getting help or even worse being "kicked out" of a typical preschool program from simply being misunderstood.  The Early Learning Center non-profit will provide specialized services and scholarships to children birth through five years of age.  These services will take place at Discovery Point Preschool; an all inclusive natural environment.  The typically developing peers are used as models and they will participate in the same activities to promote each child's development.

At three years of age the eligibility for special needs services are extremely specific.  Many children need assistance with learning to function and be successful in a classroom who do not qualify under the specific eligibility criteria.  These are the "in the cracks" children.   They will be given assistance needed which will include but not be limited to, speech therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy, social integration, early childhood specialist aides and more!  The children also benefit from more days in preschool in which the non profit can help subsidize additional time with scholarship assistance.  Teachers will be compensated for continuing education and specialized courses in inclusive environments and specific disabilities.  
 
Help stop Inyo County children from falling behind by helping support the start up costs of this non-profit!  The funds are needed asap to help the kids who are in need NOW!  Let's make sure all of our children enter school healthy, happy and ready to learn.
