I have never created nor reposted any gofundme campaign before. This time is different.
On December 12, 2017, my brother learned he would have to have one of his legs amputed from the knee down. That surgery is scheduled for December 14, 2017 and he is devastated. He has lived with no kidneys for more than 5 years now after he contracted pnuemonia and had to have my donated kidney removed. Since that time, he has been hospitalized dozens of times and struggles three times each week when he has dialysis.
As a combat veteren of the U.S. Navy, much of his support has come from his disability benefits. Given the excessive medical bills, however, about a year ago, he began working as an Uber driver. After his amputation surgery on Dec. 14, 2017, he will not be able to drive for a while. Alas, his mortgage, car payment, and medical bills will continue to roll in.
