A Horrible tragedy has happened to one of our Asplundh brothers. Please help in anyway that we can. Family is the reason we do what we do!! Nelsonville is a small community and we need to be there to help a neighbor with this tragic incident.

Special News Release

On March 6, 2021 at approximately 00:54 am the Nelsonviile Police Department was dispatched to a residence on Walnut Street in reference to a juvenile that sustained a gunshot wound. Nelsonviile Officers arrived and begin performing CPR on the victim until Athens County EMS and Nelsonviile Fire Department arrived and took over treating the victim. The juvenile victim was transported to O’Bleness Hospital where the child was pronounced dead. Nelsonviile Officers and Athens County Prosector’s Office Officers and Analysts executed multiple search warrants over the course of the night. The child victim was transported to the Montgomery County Coroner’s Office for an autopsy. This case remains under investigation.
