Healing Larry.

Friends, family and those who don't know us but want to be the hands and feet of Jesus to our family, THANK YOU. Before giving you the updates, I want to first thank you for your prayers. They are keeping us going right now. After many have reached out asking how they can help and praying about what we hope the future to be, we decided to start this page. We are humbled by your kindness and so incredibly grateful.

Here is a little background information. Larry was treated for tonsil cancer last year with complete recovery. He started having severe pain in August and in November, was diagnosed him with stage 4 bone cancer. His treatment plan was to include 4 months of once a month treatments but after his first treatment, which was the beginning of January, he had a rare reaction to either the chemo or the immunotherapy, which caused his white blood cells to be wiped out. While in the ER because of this reaction, he also tested positive for COVID. (The doctors are unsure what role this played.) He also developed a condition called mucocitis, which in his case is severe. He hasn’t been able to eat, drink, swallow or talk since the first treatment. Doctors at the current hospital are baffled by his condition and have never seen this reaction. They think it is some condition of the bone marrow, but they don’t know how to treat it. Larry says it’s not his time to go (and we agree), so we need a higher level of care and higher help to fight this. Hopefully, by the time you read this update, he will already be moved to another hospital, capable of caring for his needs.

Money raised will go towards daily hotel and parking so my mom can stay with him every day since the hospital is over 100 miles away. We also ask that you commit to praying for his doctors. Because his condition is so rare, he ultimately needs to go to MD Anderson. We first need approval from the hospital and insurance and second, we need him healthy enough to be transported there. Our ultimate goal is that he will go to MD Anderson and be treated by doctors that are capable of saving his life. Once in Houston, outside of the medical bills, my mom will need to find a place to stay and have travel related expenses while she is there. Our goal is for Denise and Larry to not have to worry about anything other than Larry’s healing.

Thank you so much for loving our family. We are believing in a miracle and that God will heal Larry on this side of heaven so we can love on him for many more years to come.
