Funeral, Medical and Other Expenses For Ashley

Donation protected
**Update***On the morning of 7/13/22, Ashley passed away in her sleep after months of being very ill. Now, as her family and friends grieve her passing, we are all doing our best to help her husband, Hans and their daughters with anything they may need help with at this time, Whether it be with the cost of funeral services, assistance with the medical bills that are still coming in and cost of living expenses that her family will need help with.

We are so grateful for everyone that has contributed through this gofundme so far, the fundraisers our school put together, and the pint night we held last month for her.

Hi Everyone. My name is Erin, and I have created this fundraiser to help my dear friend Ashley Luthje and her family during this difficult time.

Ashley and her husband Hans, have lived in the Philipsburg community for about 7 years. They have 2 beautiful daughters, Jordynn(3 years old) and Charlotte( 7 1/2 months old). They were the center of her world. She was a loving, passionate, gentle-hearted, and hard-working gal who loved nothing more than being with her friends and family and spending time with her pets. She worked at the Sunshine Station as a waitress, assistant cook at Philipsburg Schools, and cashier at Huffman Grocery.

Ashley's story.

It started about 2 weeks ago when Ashley was having some abdominal pain and ended up in urgent care.

Tests ran on 4/1/22 revealed that Ashley was dealing with gallstones that created a blockage in her bile duct and an enlarged spleen. By the time I saw her the following Monday, she was dealing with extreme jaundice from the built-up bilirubin in her system. Ashley was waiting on an appointment to meet with her Chron's doctor to discuss her results and determine the next steps.

Ashley went in for surgery on 4/7/22, and a stint was placed. The doctors determined she was also dealing with pancreatitis. On the night of 4/8/22, she was moved to the ICU due to a blood infection and placed on a feeding tube.

Ashley is still in the ICU and being monitored, with talks that she may need to be transported to SLC or Seattle.

Her mother gave us an update yesterday, saying:
Doctors believe she will be dealing with complications of pancreatitis for up to a year and will be on the feeding tube for quite some time. The doctors have already said that it will be a slow recovery time.

Ashley and her family need your love and support.

As her family focuses on her getting the help she needs and the children are taken care of, they face the ever-growing medical bills, child care expenses, loss of not one but 2 income that Ashley was bringing in and other mounting costs.

We ask for help in any way you can by donating to Ashley’s Fund and/or by sharing this link on any social media platforms. Thoughts/prayers are encouraged as well.
