Recovery for Brad

I am starting a gofundme page which is something I thought I would never do. I have decided to go forward with it because many people have reached out to see how they can help.

Our 14-year-old nephew, a seasoned boy scout, well-mannered, and just one of our favorite kids (although he's been in that awkward 14-year-old stage lately :) was enjoying a campfire over Easter break.

Things got out of control and there was an explosion. Approx. 30% of his body was burned, his feet and legs being the worst part. He has already endured several surgeries not including the daily burn debridement since April 8, 2023. He's had a few infections, including a blood infection that he is battling right now. His skin graft surgery will take place on Wednesday, April 19th, 2023 as long as the infection is under control. Walking will be a challenge for some time as a portion of his Achilles tendon is exposed. With that being said, by the grace of God, he is expected to recover but will have a long road ahead of him. We expect him to have a hospital stay of at least 4 weeks.

In the meantime, his single mom will need help with medical co-pays and her monthly bills since she had to take a leave of absence while he is in the hospital and will continue to do so while he is home recovering.
