Sua Divina Grazia A.C. His Divine Grace, A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Śrīla Prabhupāda, the most beloved Founding Ācārya and Pre-eminent Śikṣā guru of ISKCON, came to Rome in May 1974, inspiring devotees, and sharing Krishna Consciousness with them and appreciative members of the public. Since his visit, devotees have maintained a temple in the heart of Rome, and in 2020, devotees opened the Domus Hare Krishna temple, 45 kilometres outside of Rome, in a natural setting with space to accommodate visitors and give them the opportunity to follow the ideals of simple living and high thinking. Each temple is an oasis of Krishna Consciousness and an embassy of the spiritual world where devotees faithfully serve the deities and Śrīla Prabhupāda's mission to bring Krishna Consciousness to the planet. Visitors to the temples are welcome to take darśana of the Gaura-Nitāi deities, listen to classes on the science of God, participate in devotional singing and dancing, and share the lacto-vegetarian meals that have been prepared and offered with love for the pleasure of Krishna.

However, one significant element that is missing from the city centre temple is Śrīla Prabhupāda's mūrti, as the original one is currently seated at the Domus Hare Krishna temple. Śrīla Prabhupāda is considered personally present in his mūrti form to accept our service and give blessings to everyone. In fact, many visitors to ISKCON temples worldwide have had appreciable experiences of Śrīla Prabhupāda being present through his mūrti. In the current world climate, more than ever, there is a need for Śrīla Prabhupāda's presence to inspire and guide us. Therefore, we are appealing for your kind support to help to purchase and transport a new mūrti of Śrīla Prabhupāda for the Domus Hare Krishna temple so that the original mūrti can be returned to the Via Sardegna temple.

Śrīla Prabhupāda's mūrti will be coming from the ISKCON Ujjain temple in India. The ISKCON Ujjain temple handcrafts beautiful Śrīla Prabhupāda mūrtis using the original mold created by his disciple, His Grace Lochan Prabhu. The picture below shows one of Śrīla Prabhupāda's mūrtis crafted by the Ujjain temple for the Temple of the Vedic Planetarium in Mayapur.

The cost of bringing a life-size (30'') mūrti of Śrīla Prabhupāda to Rome is 1400 Euro. This fundraiser is a valuable opportunity to serve Śrīla Prabhupāda's mission and humanity as a whole, and your donations towards this cost are very much appreciated.
