On July 22, we received devastating news. Our colleague, and friend to many, Dr. Alex Burgos, was in Greece when he suffered a severe injury to his head that required immediate emergency surgery. Currently, he is still in Greece under a medically induced coma and on a respirator. As we hope for progress, his condition is still critical and very uncertain.

Pam is presently by his side in Greece; however, the boys had to return home. With his children returning back to school, and both parents away from home, we would like to give the Burgos family some financial peace of mind. We hope these funds can help the family pay for medical bills and offer some supplemental income while Alex continues to require medical attention in Greece.

We remain hopeful that Alex will be able to return back home and be reunited with his family, friends, and colleagues.
