My name is Dakota Tanner, and as I approach my 30th birthday, I find myself reflecting on the incredible journey that has brought me to this moment. For the first 26 years of my life, I lived as a man, navigating the complexities of identity and love. It was during this time that I was fortunate enough to experience the joys and challenges of marriage to a wonderful woman, Rachel.

At the age of 27, I made a life-changing decision to travel to Guatemala to pursue my TEFL certification. This journey would eventually lead me to Peru where I would discover a community of supportive and loving friends and chosen family members. In their embrace, I found the strength to express my true identity, and with their unwavering support, I began my journey towards self-discovery and self-love.

Over the past year, I have been undergoing hormone therapy, a transformative process that has allowed me to align my physical self with my authentic identity. As I stand on the cusp of my 30s, I am filled with gratitude for the strides I've made in embracing who I truly am.

Now, I am reaching out to you, my extended community, with a heartfelt request. I am ready to take the next step in my journey — to undergo top surgery, a procedure that will help me align my external appearance with my internal sense of self. I am reaching out to you for support as I launch this GoFundMe campaign to raise funds for my top surgery, specifically for breast implants.
