Help Bricolage Workshop Recover
Bricolage Workshop is a new space that has just been set-up in Johnston Street Collingwood. It houses local furniture makers and woodworkers and was planning to host community workshops and provide casual machine access for artists from the Collingwood Arts Precinct.
Dan Barker from Bricolage has been working non-stop to set this space up since last year and finally got all of the tenants in last week.
Over the weekend someone broke in and stole all of his and the downstairs tenant's hand and power tools and anything else they could carry. They have been cleaned out before they could even start creating in the space. The police are still investigating it and CCTV footage is being checked but unfortunately due to there being no signs of forced entry, nothing is covered by insurance.
This is a massive blow to everyone at the workshop and has taken away their ability to earn an income.
