I have a small independent vegan dog boutique and a vegan dog café located on the 1st floor.
I'm doing my best to promote veganism for humans and their pooches.
I opened in April 2019 and everything was going really well, but as the season finished in Brighton, my sales have dramatically dropped and have now become behind in my rent and rates. I appreciate that the 1st year of trading is the most difficult but I am running the risk of closing down and leaving another empty shop in the Brighton Lanes.
Within my shop - I do not sell anything that contains any animal bi-products and the dog café is 100% vegan. There is nothing like this in or near the surrounding area, and with the vegan movement happening; I know that my business will be a much needed successful business model.
After the few urgent repairs and refits to my rented premises, this has taken its toll on my funding and need help to continue to help promote and sell my ethos to Brighton locals and the tourists.
Any help that anyone can give me to keep my business thriving; to help make just a few small changes to the climate with just a few small steps my customers and future customers can do... well this would be the greatest gift anyone can give.
I'm really not one of those people that likes asking for hand outs but I have approached banks and the council to help and have been declined. I am now in a desperate position and need extra funding urgently.
I work seven days a week to keep my dream of spreading the love alive, I just need more help to get me to when Brighton is the bustling seaside town it is.
