Friends and Family,
As many of you know, we lost a great soul way before his time. Daryl will forever be remembered as a thoughtful friend, a helpful neighbor, and a father and husband who loved his family. He will be sorely missed by all of us.
His role with his family will never be filled. There is nothing we can do to bring him back. This is why there are so many heavy hearts today trying to sort though this tragic moment in our collective life.
Many people have asked (including me) what we can do for the Nowak family as they try to piece their life back together. We're setting up this site in an effort to give people a way to express their love and support in a practical way. Obviously, money is not enough. We all need to still make every effort to proactively reach out to Carol and see what emotional help we can provide. Helping with the kids, cooking meals, or making a quick phone call to just check in and say "hey."
Funds from this will be put to use on memorial service costs, help with the mortgage that will allow the Nowak family to remain in their home, the communuity in which they have a support structure in place, and to help alleviate some of the general financial stress they are being thrust into.
Please, contribute anything you and your family may be able to spare for such a wonderful family that has now found themselves in need.
