Bring My Grandpa Home

My family and I aren't normally the type of people to ask for money although the situation we are in has led me to seek help. My Grandpa or as we call him in Spanish, "Pa" is in critical condition in Brazil due to Covid-19. He suddenly became ill and his condition got increasingly worse in the matter of a day. He has been in the hospital since November 19th and has been on a ventilator since November 21st. In the past, my Pa had heart surgery and has current pre-existing conditions which makes this so much more difficult. The resources are very limited in Brazil and we know that he would receive the best possible care in the United States. In order to have my grandpa transported from Brazil to the U.S. by an air ambulance, it would cost $85,000 due to his insurance being unable to cover that cost. My grandpa is a U.S. citizen and while he is in Brazil, his insurance does not apply to him. He needs treatments approved for use in the U.S. and not in Brazil. These treatments include Covid-19 anti-bodies and anti-viral medications. These funds are currently needed to help give him the chance for better care as soon as possible. These donations would mean the world to my family and I. If you are unable to donate, other ways you can help are through prayer which we know is very powerful. We know God is in full control and hope His will is to restore my Grandpa's health. This situation is unprecedented and has shown us how important it is to take Covid-19 precautions seriously, especially for those are at a higher risk.
