Friends, extended family and acquaintances,

I would like to start off by apologizing to those of you who we haven't had the chance to speak to individually because I know this isn't an ideal way of receiving news of this sort.

My dear mother, Brigitta, was recently diagnosed with stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer that has since spread to her Liver, Lungs and Periportal Nodes. It continues to spread, rapidly.

I wish I had anything positive to report but the fact is that she's in a lot of pain and is suffering deeply. This whole thing is so difficult to comprehend considering the "healthy" state she was in just a few weeks ago.

I won't go into all the details here but I will try my best to get back to you all when you reach out.

Please send her messages when you want to. It really warms her heart to hear how much each and every one of you love her.

In person visits are out of the question at the moment as she doesn't want anyone to see her like this, which I'm sure everyone can understand.

I'm creating this go fund me page for general incurring costs that will be coming our way as we continue to make sure she is as comfortable as possible. It's difficult to prepare for what is inevitably to come but any contributions made here will help us to celebrate her life.

Please don't feel any obligation to contribute but many people have asked how they can, and this is the best option.

We have a long road ahead of us as a family but have already felt so much love and support from so many in our large community.
