My dad just passed away at 64 years old. He was never really the type to ask for help, even when he really needed it. He never wanted to be a burden or strain on other people, especially the ones he loved or cared about. He was used to being the one who provided and when he couldn't anymore because his body started to fail him, it made him incredibly depressed.

Born into a large family, family was so important to him. He had three daughters of his own and helped raise my mothers' two children. After a turbulent divorce with my mom and his remaining family members passing away, he ended up alone with nobody but his daughters, two of which live across the country, and my husband. The responsibility of caretaking for my dad and my two children, one with autism and the other with rebellious teen disorder, has been very overwhelming.

Now that he's gone, I feel paralyzed. We need to figure out how to get the funds for his funeral for him by Friday and even the cheapest option is $3,600. One of my sisters is a single mother and the other is currently homeless. I thought we had so much more time to prepare for this. I knew his health was in decline but had no idea just how quickly it would be gone. Apparently neither did he, because he left no will.

Years ago, randomly while doing one of the many construction jobs with my husband they did, he asked him to take care of things after he was gone because he knew my sisters would be fighting and I would be too overwhelmed to deal with anything. He couldn't have known us better. My husband has been a saint, allowing me to come home and relax so I don't have repetivite breakdowns, while he goes through the house that he's had since I was three with my sisters for things to sell to pay for his funeral.

I don't know how to help because every time I begin to do anything I'm reminded of him and breakdown. So I'm asking for help, like I wish he would have done from me, despite how overwhelming life can be. If you ever wanted to support me or my husband's content that we produce, we really need it right now. We need this break from life.
