Help Jamie’s Recovery

Donation protected

Hallelujah

My sister was released today to begin her very long recovery.
She was released and will start her recovery with my parents managing for at least the first few days and a nurse will come daily to check her incision and remove the packing and repack the infected area until it’s better. She still gonna be off work for quite some time hoping that she gets a speedy recovery..

Thank you to everybody for the prayers, good vibes, donations, and overall well wishes. As a family, we are extremely thankful for each of you supporting my sister.

Here is the link for those that continue to ask.

UPDATE
I spoke to Jamie this morning and the infection is getting worse, so the Orthopedic Surgeon is looking at the schedule to open the leg up to extract the infection today. This is definitely not going to be a quick recovery and we do not foresee her getting out of the hospital over the next couple of days. Thank you to those who have donated to help keep her household running.

Hi friends… I am Mia and Jamie Wider is my youngest sister. Many of you may know my sister as the bright shining personality serving you at 1922 in downtown Newark on the square, she’s been a staple on the square for several years. If you have met her, no doubt you love her. She has a giving heart and would do anything for anyone, including a stranger. She’s a hardworking mom of four wonderful children that she raises on her serving income.

Jamie was mauled by a dog on Monday and while fighting the dog off her, she was attacked/injured in three separate areas on her body. She was taken by squad to LMH, where they gave her three excruciatingly painful rabies shots, the first of a series. Since the attack, she has had to return to LMH and has been hospitalized for an infection in two of the three attack spots. Today will be her second night spent at LMH receiving IV antibiotics. There will be many follow up appointments and medication, etc.

Our family has rallied to help her immediate needs, but it’s likely she will be off of work for a few weeks. I am putting this GFM together to help raise the money to keep her kiddos fed and her monthly household bills and any unpaid hospital bills paid that come in while she’s recovering.

Every dollar helps her. If you can’t donate, please share this so maybe some else can.

Thank you from our entire family for your help.
