Help Support Abby

To those whom this finds...

I will start by saying that asking for help, especially in the form of finances, is very foreign and uncomfortable for me. I am taking a step of surrender and vulnerability with this post.

My name is Jennifer, I am a passionate holistic practitioner in Calgary AB. I have two amazing dogs, Abby (10 years old) and Mya (4 years old).

Abby has come into some significant health concerns over the past few months. First thinking that it was a Pyometra... after further testing and diagnostics, this was not the case. However, her liver enzymes were off, so we began a holistic approach and treatment for her in hopes that this would support these accelerated levels.

During this time, she also threw her back out to the point that she could barely go to the washroom, which resulted in more treatments and appointments...

Going back for her follow-up bloodwork, I was in high spirits as her energy levels seemed to have restored! Unfortunately, the testing came back worse, with her liver ALT and ALKP levels more than tripling a healthy level...

They now require her to have further diagnostics in the forms of an Ultrasound, X-ray, and most likely a biopsy to determine if this is a liver disease, cancer, or a failing gallbladder. A treatment plan will be determined once they are able to determine more accurately what the exact ailment is.

Due to my own recent health concerns, I've had to miss many weeks of work and have outstanding bills from AHS, which is making it extra challenging to find the extra funds for Abby...

Abby has been my absolute rock for the last 10 years. She is such a divine gift and light in my life.

I am very humbly asking for help, as I do not know where else to turn at this time.
