Jack and Winnie have a genetic nephrotic syndrome. Winnie to go with her NS has a lupus clotting disorder which has led to her having 2 strokes before the age of 2. Both Winnie and Jack will someday have to have a kidney transplant. The combined have spent almost 7 months in the hospital this year. Expenses of missing work, travel 5 days a week for therapy and blood work and Dr visits, and medical expenses that insurance will not cover have added up.
