For many years, Dave and his Mom have cared for a family of feral cats that live outside. Today, we found little Mr. Chip under the stairs and struggling to breathe.  We were able to get him inside and brought him to the emergency vet.

He has pneumonia and is receiving IV fluids, antibiotics and oxygen. He has also required a dewormer and flea treatment.  He will require at least an overnight stay and possibly more.  

The vet is feeling positive as he is purring up a storm and ate well today but reiterated that he is “a very sick little guy”.

The vet bill at this point is over $1000, with oxygen being over $500/day.  Given that we are animal lovers, we can’t deny this little guy so we are hoping that our family and friends can help as well.  He pretty much has melted my heart. He’s a fighter so hopefully he will get well very quickly.
