Today’s oncology visit was bitter sweet. We’ve been told that the chemo treatment that Michelle has been on is no longer beneficial. Her cancer is stage 4. A new treatment is advised and under insurance review, a 30 day supply of half of her treatment which is an oral medication is $20,000. Absolutely insane. But we are hoping for the best. Michelle is in good spirits but it’s still a harrowing situation. We are behind financially of course and ask for any donations and shares as possible. Please pray, and please donate.
Meet Michelle. She is a wonderful woman, a loving mother, a caring friend, and a god send of a person to so many people. She’s private, and wouldn’t dare ask for a handout. But…she’s having medical issues that will impact her for life and it’s out of her control. She’s the sole provider for herself and currently has an infection after a surgery a few weeks back, it’s landed her in the icu and for an extended hospital stay. She is out of pto at work and is paycheck to paycheck unfortunately, this surgery was to remove a mass from her abdomen, we found out this morning that it’s cancerous. They aren’t sure where the cancer is as it’s in her lymph nodes so it very well could be everywhere, we are all scared for her, her insurance won’t cover everything, nor will it cover her bills while out of work. She’s at risk of losing everything. I’m hoping to raise money to at least cover bills. We are going to apply for as many programs and grants as possible but also hoping that until and “if” she gets approved or qualified to get into them that the care and compassion from others can help keep her from losing all that she has. we are praying for her speedy recovery and for the chemo to do its job in keeping her such a wonderful spirit in this world and be pain free. I know not everyone can contribute, prayers are appreciated as well, we just unfortunately all understand that prayers are for healing, and won’t cover the bills. Thank you everyone for reading this message.

so they still aren’t sure where the cancer is coming from, they are waiting on a molecular test result in the hopes that it can be pinpointed. That being said, they do know that there a 4 masses in her lungs, as well as lymph node cancer indicators through her chest, lower neck, and right side of her abdomen. She’s having a very difficult time with this, as well all are. She starts chemo next week even though they aren’t sure of the origin, chemo fairly immediately and then rescan in 90 days to see if there will be progress. She will be missing work, and already stretched so thin on bills, really everyone that’s sent any amount we are so grateful, it’s all gone to good use and not blundered away, we are asking for more contributors, things are soon to be on the verge of tipping the scales in the wrong direction with having to be out of work for treatments (starting 7-10-23). Thank you all for reading/caring/praying and donating. This means the world to us all.
update; 7-14-23
the day of chemo Michelle had a reaction that had to be monitored and adjusted for, causing her first session to take 7.5 hours, she was weak yet not in “more pain” after the fact, day two also was not bad, however day 3 she woke in severe pain, as she described it down to what seemed like every cell in her body was in pain. Day 4 involved full body chills and muscle spasms, today she had labs ran and nothing seemingly notable from them as of yet. She was prescribed a pain killer in the hopes of curbing some of her total body severe pains. She’s lost yet another almost full week of work and tbh donations are needed now more than ever, thank you everyone who has kept up with this and especially those who have contributed.
